Though I do not condone an affair whatsoever, this piece is one of my favorites. The rhythm is just so playful and giggly. Even if you don't like poetry much, you have to admit that this one is fun.

  1. I gave this poem to my first real boyfriend back in high school! Not that I most likely understood it very deeply -- but cummings' sexiness and glee speaks to everyone, I think. :)

  2. that is a fun one. thanks for posting :)

  3. ee cummings is my absolute favorite poet. He writes just so beautifully.

  4. I love that you are blogging poetry! That poem made me gasp at "but your wife said she" and had me hooked from the start. oh e.e. cummings.

I do my best to respond to all comments, but I'm pretty scatterbrained. So if I skip over you, it's most surely unintentional.
Thank you for your sweet words!
